SUMMER RIDING CAMP

AT

HILLTOP EQUESTRIAN CENTER

July 07  - August 29, 2008

Ages 6 through 16

English and Western Riding Camps
From Beginner to Advanced

A wonderful opportunity for children to make special friends, have fun, learn about horses and further develop horsemanship and riding skills. While our program concentrates on acquiring or improving the student’s riding skills in English Hunter/Jumper or Western Pleasure, it also includes many different and enjoyable activities for your child around the horse.

Our camp program gives riders the chance to indulge their passion for horses. They spent the day at our 35 acre facility in a safe, structured environment.

Our program is intended around horses and riding. As children learn new equestrian skills, their confidence will naturally grow. Our aim is that they leave us with a smile and a positive experience.

The days are filled with horse activities geared toward developing students into accomplished riders.  Some of the activities the students will learn is to safely handle a horse; groom a horse; saddle and care for the horse as well as learn breed identification; nutrition, basic horse first aid and much more!

Riding

The Student will be given the proper horse based on his or her experience and ability.  Students will enjoy daily riding lesson, grouped according to their riding ability.

Each week session ends with a horse show for the parents and spectators where each student gets to demonstrate their new skills and is recognized with ribbons, a certificate and a souvenir to remember their camp experience.

Stable and Horse Management

We will be giving demonstrations that include instructional videos and hands-on barn work, expanding the students knowledge of basic horse care, equipment, anatomy, horse ownership and more. Demonstrations will be given in bridle-less Western Pleasure and Advanced English Jumping.

Staff

Hilltop Equestrian Center selects highly trained and skilled instructors and staff. We want your child to have a safe and enjoyable experience at our place.
